Patio makeover with paving

The project:

We re did the back patio area the area was not very nice and was not inviting. t was covered in broken bitumen we had to jack hammer the bitumen Luckily, we had a tip voucher, and the Rye tip takes bitumen for recyling. We then raked over the area and levellled it out. We made the garden edging straight with pine sleepers. Put down concrete pavers rock and redgum wood chips we reused some of the garden plants and pots we had. I have put up a before and after pictures

Concrete 600 x 600 pavers

small river pebbles

- Tools:

Jack hammer

rake

shovel

Drill

buckets to move gravel and red gum chips around

- Step 1:

1. design
2. dig up Bitumen
3. rake out area level and clean up area
4. make garden edging straight
5. lay concrete pavers
6. redgum wood chips
7. small gravel between pavers

What a difference the makeover has made. Removing the old bitumen was a big job, but it has completely transformed the space into a much more inviting area. I like the simple combination of the large pavers, river pebbles, and redgum mulch, and it was great to see you reuse existing plants and pots as well. The straightened garden edging really finishes it off nicely. Well done!
