Study nook from disused front door entryway

The project:

We purchased a run down hobby farm, we never used our front door so I turned it into a studdy nook. My favourite part was using the original front door glass in the wall.

- Materials:

I used concrete, bricks, plaster boards, cement sheets, paint, culk, sand paper, an old hardwood palet for making the desk, hybrid flooring

- Tools:

Circular saw, drop saw, drills, culking gun, paint brush, air compressor, paint sprayer, level, string line, screws.

- Step 1:

I built a brick wall to fill the gap from the outside

I rendered the outside

I built a framework on the inside

I plastererd and did the floors

I painted

I installed the desk i made from an old pallet

I made floating shelves

What a beautifully transformed space! Recycling the front door glass pattern was an excellent use of the old door's features. I love the finish on your benchtop and the live edge shelves just add character and catch your eye as you come into the office space. A truly practical and well thought out conversion of the unused space.
