Outdoor kitchen with acoustic panels

The project:

From Bunnings Isles to backyard Paradise. The fridge and the bench items are the only things that were not purchased at Bunnings. This custom outdoor Kitchen features built in BBQ, timber bench tops. screening and timber panels. The project was completed over several days to sharpen up the DIY skills. Timer work was not something that came naturally. But the end result was satisfying.

- Materials:

Merbau fence panels, Merbau Lam Panel, Nat Oak Timber Acoustic Panel, Pine structual Treated H3, BBQ Matador 6 burner Spark.

- Tools:

Compound MITRE Saw. Claw Hammer. Bench Saw, set square,

- Step 1:

Measure and design area to build in components, build framework to suit BBQ, Fridge. Cut down bench tops to suit, complete facer panels, cut Acoustic panels to size, cut and fit pelmet add strip led lighting, paint and stain.

You've created a really impressive entertaining space. The combination of the Merbau, acoustic panels and integrated LED lighting gives it a modern, high-end look, and it's hard to believe it was built over just a few days. It's especially impressive that the timber work was outside your comfort zone when you started. The finished result is a real testament to your persistence and willingness to develop your DIY skills.

Do you happen to have any before photos of the area or pictures from during the build? Our members really enjoy seeing how projects come together, and the construction process is often just as inspiring as the finished result. It would be great to see how you built the framework and installed the benchtops, screening and acoustic panels.
