The project:
As my daughter steps into her teenage years, she deserved a bedroom that truly reflects her personality—a calm, stylish space where she can relax, unwind, study, and just be herself. We added VJ panelling and trim to create a timeless feature wall, then finished it with carefully chosen décor for the perfect glow-up. The result is a beautiful, cosy retreat that’s grown up and one she absolutely loves.

liquid nails, caulking and various paint brushes and equipment.
- Step 1:
Paint prep: removed all picture hooks and shelving from the walls, filled in the holes, sanded the walls, sugar soaped the walls, painters tape the edging of the floor and around the air-conditioner and prepped the walls ready for painting.
- Step 2:
After adding two coats of Antique White USA paint to the walls, I then attach the VJ panels, I had to cut the last piece to size and then also cut out the PowerPoint area added some pine trim to the top and filled all the gaps ready for painting.
- Step 3:
Once the painting had finished, we added some floating shelves, new bedding and accessories ~ the room looks completely different from the before photo, it’s now a perfect teenage bedroom, a place to grow into for many years to come!
