Doorway removal adding kitchen storage

The project:

Needed to blank in doorway where bathroom door used to be.Now spice shelves installed all tiled.The shelves where the top and bottom timber off old door.

- Materials:

Tiles Johnson special order bunnings,floor tiles bunnings,gyprock bunnings,silicone and grout bunnings.

- Tools:

Ozito grinder,hammer,chisels,silicone gun,paslode nail gun,glue spreader, grout float,Tile cutter,

- Step 1:

Project was to move doorway around corner so bathroom door was not longer part of kitchen. Rather than just blanking in doorway I wanted it a feature and versatile area.

You've done a really exceptional job of closing off and blending in the old doorway. The tiles blend in well and make it look very intentional and seamless.

It's also brilliant to hear that the old door itself is still there in a way, having been used to create the shelving.
