The project:
Buying our first home was a dream come true, but it needed a little love. We headed to Bunnings, picked the perfect paint colour for the walls and fresh ceiling paint, then got to work. With every brushstroke, the house started to feel more like our home. The transformation was incredible—brighter, fresher, and full of life. It's amazing how a few tins of paint can completely change a space and create the perfect blank canvas for the memories we'll make together.

- Step 1:
Planned the project by creating a list of all the painting supplies and materials needed.
- Step 2:
Visited Bunnings Warehouse to purchase all required tools, paint, and preparation materials.
- Step 3:
Prepared the walls by patching over 100 holes, dents, and imperfections using multi-purpose filler.
- Step 4:
Sanded the repaired areas once the filler had dried to create a smooth, even surface.
- Step 5:
Applied masking tape to protect edges, trims, and other areas from paint.
- Step 6:
Cut in around the skirting boards and architraves using a brush and White Gloss Water Based Enamel Paint to create clean paint lines.
- Step 7:
Painted the skirting boards with White Gloss Water Based Enamel Paint and allowed them to dry.
- Step 8:
Rolled the ceiling (roof) with ceiling paint using a roller for an even finish.
- Step 9:
Rolled the walls with our choice of coloured paint, working section by section for consistent coverage. We used the colour 'Cotton Sheets' by Tubman's.
- Step 10:
Removed the masking tape and completed a final inspection, touching up any areas that required additional paint. Voila!
