The project:
After turning 50 and spending decades navigating the wonderful, noisy chaos of a home filled with three boys, I felt a deep, quiet pull. I yearned for two things: a peaceful space entirely my own, and the magic of building something beautiful with my own hands.The catch? I had absolutely zero building experience., I began collecting discarded wooden pallets and pieces of recycled timber, learning the secrets of carpentry as I went along. For 19 intense days, I measured, sawed, and dreamed. By the end of those three weeks, a beautiful, rustic garden cabin had materialised in my backyard—built by my own hands.Today, it is my ultimate sanctuary. It is a whimsical haven where I can sit quietly to watch my chickens peck happily through the grass. It is the place where I recharge my soul.
