Quick kitchen upgrade using bench and paint

The project:

the kitchen was very uninspiring so we decided to get rid of the ugly pantry cupboard and add a bench at the end to make it a u shaped benchtop. I then painted the kitchen in Dulux Antique and we got a sideboard to use underneath.

- Materials:

Timber bench top

Timber for shelves

Brackets for shelves

Screws

Varnish

Led lights

- Tools:

Circular saw

cut down pantry

Put timber bench at end

Hi @saschajones,

Great work. Removing the pantry and extending the benchtop to make a U-shaped work area has made the kitchen feel much more open and practical, while the new paint, timber shelves and lighting give it a fresh, welcoming look.

A simple change has made things more functional, and much nicer to look at.
