The project:
My tiny courtyard was in desperate need for improvement. I wanted to create an outdoor space that mimicked indoor, with an outdoor dining, kitchen, living and resting space.
The floating deck makes a perfect entertainment area with the BBQ close by. The wicker lounge is invites you to enjoy a fire pit and whether the sun is shining or the rain is pouring, you can lay back on the sofa bed in the shed and read a good book!
- Materials:
Pine deck, stained Black Japan. It is on adjustable pedal system and has an assembled metal pergola.
Cement pavers with gravel in between. Assembled BBQ.
Assortment of trees and shrubs.
Keter hard plastic prefab shed with windows.
- Tools:
I actually had the help from others to do the job as I didn’t own all the tools. Drop saw for deck and drill.
Drill for BBQ.
Ground compactor, shovel and wheelbarrow for paving.
Drill for shed.

Pulling up old pavers and preparing the ground and spaces for new construction

Working from back to front of yard for ease of job. Assembled shed.

Planted trees and shrubs.

Assembled BBQ and placed furniture.
