Concrete courtyard area upgrade with paint stencil

The project:

I restored a tired and aged concrete area in my courtyard by cutting it back and repainting it, including stencilling to give it greater appeal. Before completion, the area looked like this:

- Step 1:

I first had to cut the surface back

- Step 2:

After washing excess dust down and allowing to dry off, I started with painting the base coat

- Step 3:

Then came the stencilling. Each separate piece painted one at a time until the whole surface was covered.

- Step 4:

The final product added a whole new feel to the area.

- Step 5:

Then adding the spa and deck that I built finished the area off.

You've done a fantastic job transforming what was a tired looking concrete pad into a beautiful and incredibly unique foundation for your subsequent spa deck build.

Having done a bit of concrete grinding in my time, I know just how much work it is, but it was an essential step for you to achieve such a stellar result.

The stencilled pattern looks fantastic and clearly took a whole lot of work to line things up nicely.
