The project:
I bought a new home and decided to take out the old kitchen and replace it with a new Kaboodle kitchen replacement and new benchtops, sink and accessories. The old kitchen looked like this:
- Materials:
kaboodle kitchen cupboards, drawers and benchtops
New plumbing fittings
New sink
tiles for splashback
New rangehood
New dishwasher
All materials purchased from Bunnings
- Tools:
My tools are mostly all battery tools by Ozito and were perfect for the job.
Cordless drills and a level were a must for the job
- Step 1:
Taking down the old kitchen came first
- Step 2:
First to be replaced was the oven area cupboards and new high gloss draws to replace the old cupboards. The old cupboard frames were kept under the sink and only new doors put on the corners and undersink areas. The new dishwasher was also installed.
- Step 3:
The upper cupboards and rangehood came next
- Step 4:
The pantry had to be cut down to allow a wider space for the fridge. The side panel and above fridge cupboard was then put in place after painting the rear wall.
- Step 5:
Time for the new sink and the benchtops
- Step 6:
Upper cupboard doors started to go on and tiling was next
- Step 7:
New tiling was also done on the opposite side of the kitchen with an insert made in the wall for phone and modem.
- Step 8:
The pantry door was last to be put on as it was ordered to size
