Small dining table with crossed legs

The project:

I wanted a dining table with a difference, not just the usual four leg table. So decided to try something new! Crossing the legs at the base. Very happy with the end redults.

- Materials:

Two Hevea panels 1200 x 405 x 18mm

55 x 55mm dressed pine for legs

55 x 25mm dressed pine under frame

metal strong ‘L’ brackets

Glue, screws, sandpaper, hard wax

- Tools:

All my tools are OZITO

- Step 1:

Drilled 4 holes for wood dowel along Hevea panels, glued and clamped together to make an 800m table top. Put together cross table legs. Constructed the under frame with strong metal brackets, glued and screwed.
Attached the table top to the under frame and legs. Sanded and lightly tinted the topcoat and finished with hard wax.
The finished table measures:

1200 x 800 x 750 accommodate 4 chairs and fit 6 chairs for extra seating.

Hi @NolsE,

Another fantastic table, however, this one is very unique because of the custom frame. Knowing how strong triangle shaped framing is, and the prevalence of triangles in your design, it looks extremely sturdy.

The hevea panels look excellent after a good sand and some hard wax and give the table a wonderful, finished surface.
