The project:
Turn a square pot plant stand into a pot plant seat.
- Materials:
A bunnings pot plant stand
- Tools:
Hand drill, and some screws. Plus the scrap wood left over from a kitchen u/g done by an outside company. In 1968, they’d build a frame work, and add the wood. Now they cut particle board and just screw it to another plank of particle board so 11 particle board cupboards . They get the strength attaching it to the walls.
- Step 1:
I drilled holes halfway into the wood to make hand rests.
I drilled all the way through the wood to match the rear verticals. I cut lengths of the scrap wood to make the fan shape back rest. I kept it vertical, otherwise it falls backwards. This was fastened to a length near the top and the bottom runner. The fan like back rest was screwed to the back of arm rests. At the front, a length of pallet wood was clamped to the front legs, to help balance the back. I can add more pictures if required. It’s great the frame of the metal pot plant holder can be used.
