How to remove shower taps?

The project:

Hello, I can't find a grub screw or any place I could lock on a tap spanner on eith the tap or the collar..and the front tap face where hot and cold are shown is not removable? I cant work out how to remove these taps?

Can anyone help?

- Step 1:

I have turned off the water and emptied the pipes, I unscrewed the taps as far as they would go…there is no hold on the taps themselves or a screw to undo..under the collar there is the major bolt that goes into the wall…

Oh thankyou so much..it worked!! I didnt think they were plugs...I have them out and can now pull out the old shower stall!

Please note that plumbing work needs to be completed by a licensed professional for safety and compliance.

I suggest having a quick look at this guide - How to replace a tap washer. At the very end of step 2, you'll see that the plastic handles cover cap was removed by a sharp flat head screwdriver. Your tap handle has the same configuration; it has a tiny gap on the red indicator where the screwdriver is supposed to go into. This will allow you to lift the cover cap off which will reveal the locking nut of the handle.

My best advice is to find a small flathead screwdriver such as the

. This will allow you to remove the cover cap with ease.
