The project:
the mini Bunnings buckets were the perfect size to hold a single strawberry plant and with the handle was super easy to hang, being hung the way it is also means no crawling insects or bugs can eat the plants.
- Materials:
8/10 mini Bunnings buckets
3 mtr chain or rope whatever suits
2 wooden poles the same length,( you can do it any length you want )
4 screws to attach chain to the end of the pole
S hooks to hang the buckets on the pole.
Make as many as you want.
- Tools:
drill with small drill bit
Screwdriver to put in the screws
Saw to cut the poles to length
- Step 1:
1, this is the part where you can recycle, I used an ol wooden curtain rod and cut it into 2 equal pieces
2 I used a small drill bit to drill a central hole
3 I then attached the chain at equal points to the end of the pole with he screws using the loops of the chain, with enough at the top to hang.
4 with the drill drill holes in the bottom of the buckets for drainage, use your own discretion as to how many holes you need
5 plant the strawberries one to a pot and hang on pole with S hooks.
6 water and enjoy.
