The project was to upgrade the front porch and entry. To add more curb appeal. We had to remove the old sandstone tiles on the front doorsteps, and re tile the area. Tiled the front porch that was a painted cement slab.
We used redimix cement, laticrete, step tread tiles, 200x200 decorative tiles and grout.
Mixed cement in wheelbarrow with hoe, shovelled concrete into reformed steps and screed concrete. Used Ozito tile cutter and Ozito cross line laser to get a straight line for the tiles. Also used a 2 metre and 6 inch levels to make sure tiles were at the right level. Used a grinder to get old paint off patio.
Demolished the old sandstone tiles on the steps, reformed and concreted steps. Tiled and grouted steps. Grinded paint off porch cement pad and tiled and grouted area.
Built timber boxes around bottom of porch posts to hide metal post stands.
