How to replace shower door seal?

Hi everyone,

I have had to replace the shower door bottom seal.

The company we got the shower from closed in 2024, so unable to get the exact seal.

It was an aluminium channel with a couple of fins on the bottom. The top of the fins have split and water coming out under the shower door.

There is a 17mm gap between the shower door and base. we have tried your door seal but water is still leaking out, it's not long enough.

Any other suggestions? Also seeking advice on how to trim a door seal which has a magnetic strip in it.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your shower seal.

The store does carry a number of shower seals, but I can't be sure if any of them will fit your shower door. Would it be possible for you to post a photo of your old seals profile along with the magnetic seal you were mentioning? This will give us a better idea if any of the seals that store carries is compatible.

In regard to the magnetic strip it all depends on how tough it is. It might be possible to cut it with a Stanley knife or it may be necessary to use pliers or side cutters to cut the magnet.
