Small laundry reno of 1950s washroom

The project:

Transforming a 1950s washroom into a modern, timeless, and functional laundry. While we're definitely not qualified designers or builders, we love taking on projects like this and creating spaces that are both beautiful and practical.

- Materials:

Kaboodle designed in store at Bunnings

Tap wear and sink

Tiles

Paint

- Tools:

circular saw, glue, tile setting, sealant

- Step 1:

remove the metal trough and have plumber re route our plumbing

- Step 2:

measure up - we took our measurements to Bunnings to do design our Kaboodle laundry. Once received, install kaboodle.

- Step 3:

Once kaboodle in place, insert table top and sink with tap wear. This was assisted by a plumber, but sink was installed into table by us.

- Step 4:

once sink in place and table top stuck into the wall. We then started to tile the splash back

- Step 5:

once tiled had set, we installed shelves and painted the area to give a fresh look

What a beautiful transformation! You've made such clever use of every centimetre, creating a laundry that feels bright, spacious and wonderfully organised. The combination of crisp white cabinetry, warm timber benchtops, soft-toned tiles and open shelving gives the room a timeless look, while the stacked appliances and extra storage make it incredibly practical for everyday living. You should be so proud of what you've achieved, it's a stylish, functional space that looks right at home in your beautiful house.
