Laundry Kaboodle update adding storage

The project:

I transformed our plain laundry into a practical, modern space using products and tools from Bunnings. I built and installed Kaboodle flat-pack cabinets to create much-needed storage, completing the project myself from assembly through to final installation. My Ozito power tools, clamps, fixings, screws and trusty hand tools all played their part along the way. The result is a cleaner, more functional laundry that looks completely transformed. I love tackling practical DIY projects, learning as I go and proving you don’t need to be a professional tradie to get a great result. 👊🏻

- Materials:

Materials Used:

•  Kaboodle wall cabinets & Screws
• White gloss “Picture Shelves” -900mm x2

- Tools:

Tools used:

• Ozito PXC 18V Cordless Drill Driver Kit – PXDDK-250C
• Trojan Screwdriver Set
• Bunnings drill bits and accessories
• Ozito vacuum

- Step 1:

• measured the space where we need cabinets

- Step 2:

• Picked the design and colours
• Ordered the Kaboodle Kit

- Step 3:

• Put the cabinets together

- Step 4:

• Measured a level line and attached a length of 35x 70x 2.4m length support timber (from Bunnings)

- Step 5:

• Installed the Cabinets and Screwedninto wall (steel framed home)

- Step 6:

• Clamped cabinets together and screwed together
• Worked my way along to complete the installation

- Step 7:

• Attached doors and adjusted hinges
• Covered screws with white stickers (supplied)
• Put shelves into cabinets

- Step 8:

• Measured out and attached floating white “Picture” shelves (from Bunnings)

The addition of the Kaboodle cabinetry has completely elevated the space, creating a laundry that feels bright, organised and incredibly functional. It's especially impressive that you took on the entire installation yourself, from assembling the cabinets to the final fit-out. The warm timber finish pairs beautifully with the clean white cabinetry and splashback, making the room feel both modern and welcoming. A wonderful DIY project that shows just how much thoughtful planning and effort can achieve.
