Tropical backyard renovation with firepit

The project:

This is our tropical paradise all done by 2 of us. Gave up every weekend for 2 years for this to happen. Our escape from work and responsibilities.
Hard work does pay off!

- Materials:

bark chips

Stones

Concrete sleepers

Wooden sleepers

Paint

Garden edging

Pallet of lawn

Plants

Lights

Fire pit

- Tools:

concrete cutter

Wood cutter

Paint for fencing and sleepers

Rollers/paint brushes

Shovel/rake

- Step 1:

started with a blank canvas

Made a shape for our fire pit, found edging and shaped it.

Painted fences.

Made spots for our sleepers, made them, painted them and put decking around the top of the sleeps.
researched plants we wanted and what would survive.
Dug our hole for the fire pit and picked a colour for stones.

Planted all our plants and then got bark chips to keep moisture in.
finally laid lawn

What an absolutely beautiful transformation! It's hard to believe this started as a bare patch of dirt. The lush tropical planting, vibrant lawn and inviting fire pit area have come together beautifully to create a backyard that feels like a private resort. The two years of hard work have certainly paid off, and you've created a wonderful space to relax, entertain and enjoy for many years to come.
