The project:
From beige, un-remarkable walls to a terra-pink entrance in my 70s villa!
- Materials:
Taubmans Matt endure indoor paint. White base.
Paint colour: Dulux Evening Blush, made into a taubmans white base colour
- Tools:
Angled paint brush
Acrylic paint roller
Paint rolling tray
Gladwrap to line the paint tray
- Step 1:
cleared the entrance of all furniture, prepped the paint, tray, brush, and roller.
- Step 2:
Using an angled brush, cut into the corners and the cornices using a thick layer of paint, using the brush, continued to paint the wall fully with a decent layer of paint. (Approximately 45minutes)
Paint will appear streaky from the brush for the first coat
- Step 3:
wait for paint to dry for 4 hours before next coat of paint with a roller.
line the paint tray with gladwrap so the washing up of paint is minimal
Go over your first coat with a thin (and now even) coat of paint woth a fluffy acryllic paint roller, lean in moderately strong so you can see the new wet area of paint without adding much more paint. (Approximately 45minutes)
watch as this evens out the first coat.
- Step 4:
Use leftover paint to clean up any cut-in corners
Move furniture back into place and wash roller and brush, remove gladwrap to also remove excess paint.
