The project:

An outdoor living area transformation, a couple mates and I completed this 100+ sqm deck using bunnings Ekodeck and H4 treated 90x45 timber aswell as many roybi and other tools. The DIY project took a couple months to complete.

- Tools:

Ryobi 18V ONE+ HP 254mm Brushless Sliding Mitre Saw - Tool Only

- Step 1:

Begin by gathering various measurements of the area where the deck will go, including heights of ledges and doorways as well as ground clearances and checkouts of piers.

- Step 2:

Begin framing and packing out your joists with pedestals as per engineering guidelines, remembering to double up joists on end boards and breaker boards.

- Step 3:

After the framework is complete, levelled out and paced correctly, it was time to lay the boards beginning with a doubled picture frame, squared of correctly.

What an incredible outdoor transformation! It's amazing to see how a few months of dedication and teamwork turned the space into such a stunning outdoor living area. The Ekodeck has been laid beautifully, with crisp lines and a seamless finish that gives the entire deck a premium, resort-style feel while perfectly complementing the pool and alfresco area. It's easy to imagine this becoming the heart of the home for family gatherings, weekend barbecues and relaxing afternoons. A fantastic achievement by you and your mates, and a wonderful example of what can be created with thoughtful planning, quality materials and plenty of DIY enthusiasm.
