Top of kitchen cupboard infill using Specrite panels

The project:

Provided a elegant way to finish off top of kitchen cupboards. Save cleaning of dust on top of cupboards.

- Materials:

Frames, 42 x 18 dar. Black wood screws to fix sheets onto frames. Specrite panels 2700 x 600 x 21.

- Step 1:

1. Make up frames. Square them up with timber side braces. No need to fit frames to top of ceiling or back wall, leave a gap.

2. Screw frames to top of cupboard . No need to screw into ceiling or wall.

3. Cut specrite panels to suit. Screw with small timber black screws to help hide fixings.

4. I didn't do it but if you wanted to store things above cupboards you could use black piano hinge for a door

What a creative way to cover the top of your kitchen cabinetry. The acoustic panels look great and add a nice, elegant touch to the overall look of the kitchen. Installing piano hinges is also a great idea as you'll still be able to use the top section as storage. An excellent finishing touch to the overall look of your kitchen.
