The project:
A complete transformation of a 1975 Windsor Caravan with original interior and water damage. It required a complete strip to bare shell, all new walls, floors and ceilings and then a full new fitout to turn it into the equivalent of a modern 2 bedroom apartment!
- Materials:
12mm plywood sheets for floors
Timber 70x35 for framing
3mm plywood sheets for walls and ceilings

- Tools:
Ryobi air tools, purchased specifically for the job. Including framing gun, staple gun and brad gun
Power tools inc mitre saw, circular saw etc
Hand tools
New airless spray gun, purchased specifically for this job, it made a huge difference.
Other paint supplies as required
- Step 1:
Review the starting point and work a plan for how best to go about this massive project
- Step 2:
Strip the interior
- Step 3:
Replace floors with new 12mm ply
- Step 4:
Reframe walls as required and add new stud wall to seperate the kids befroom
- Step 5:
Insulate ceiling and replace with new 3mm ply
- Step 6:
Insulate walls and fit new 3mm ply
- Step 7:
Insulate floors and fit new click system timber flooring and then fit skirting board and cornices
- Step 8:
Paint, lots of coats ove the bare timber. Made easy with the Wagner airless spray gun
- Step 9:
Fit kitchen, inc sink, new tap and new amazing benchtop
- Step 10:
Complete fitout, including shelves, curtains, couch etc, paint exterior, and then enjoy
