Courtyard cattery with netting and bluestone paving

The project:

I needed to turn my ugly courtyard into a cattery for my 2 girls. All made by myself with lots of advice from my local Bunnings team. Pretty happy with the results.

- Materials:

cedar pickets, bluestone pavers and marine grade carpet for the scratching post and to cover the ledges, netting and structural pine for planter frames and to arachnids the netting to the wall

- Tools:

drill and driver, mitre box and saw

- Step 1:

built the planter frames then lied with cedar pickets, cemented in the bluestone pavers and filled the gaps with soil with the intention of growing baby tears between them.

What an incredible transformation! You've turned a simple courtyard into a beautiful, thoughtfully designed retreat that your two girls can safely enjoy while still exploring the outdoors. The bluestone paving creates wonderful character, the custom timber planter boxes and privacy screen add warmth, and the lush greenery brings the whole space to life. The overhead netting has been integrated so neatly that it feels like a natural part of the design, creating a secure and inviting environment. It's easy to see the care and creativity you've poured into every detail, and the finished result is both stylish and full of personality.
