We wanted a bigger more functional laundry but the space we had was tiny so we knocked out a false wall, made a new entry into our existing bathroom and filled in the existing bathroom doorway. We DIY everything ourselves except the tiling and the plumbing fit off. We installed a new door to the bathroom and new barn door to enter the laundry. All building materials and fitting came from Bunnings, we used ikea cabinetry and got new appliances to match. Total cost including new appliances $8000.

What an incredible renovation! Reconfiguring the layout by removing the false wall and relocating the bathroom entry has completely transformed the space into a much larger and more functional laundry. It's hard to believe it's the same area. The progress photos really highlight just how much work went into the project, and the finished result looks fantastic.
