How to install suspension rails for heavy wall cabinets?

I’m DIY installing a kitchen and would really appreciate some advice on the best screws to use for mounting the suspension rails.

They are brick walls (I’ve attached photos), and I’ll also include my cabinet layout. I’ve received suggestions from both ChatGPT and Google Gemini to use either:

* Ramset Ankascrew 8 × 60 mm
* Ramset Ankascrew 6 × 75 mm

I’m leaning towards using Ankascrews so I don’t need wall plugs, but I’m not sure which size would be the better choice, or if there’s a better fastening option altogether.

Has anyone here installed cabinets onto brick walls? What screws did you use, and would you recommend them? Any tips for drilling, spacing, or things to watch out for would also be greatly appreciated.

Typically, Ankascrews or Dynabolts are used to fix cabinetry and suspension rails to masonry walls, so you're certainly looking in the right direction.

In terms of the most suitable size, that will largely be dictated by the diameter of the pre-drilled holes in the suspension rail and the largest fixing that will fit through them. The cabinet manufacturer will often provide guidance in their installation instructions. While they may not specify the exact brand or type of fixing, they will typically recommend the minimum embedment depth or fixing length required.

The number of fixings required will also depend on the weight of the cabinets and the manufacturer's recommendations. It's important that you use the appropriate type, size and quantity of fixings for your particular cabinetry and rail system.

Our Kaboodle cabinets don't use a suspension rail system, so I'm not familiar with the specific fixing requirements for this style of installation. If these are Kaboodle cabinets, I'd be happy to reach out to the manufacturer for further advice. If they're from another retailer, it would be worth contacting their technical support team if the installation instructions don't provide sufficient detail, as they'll be able to confirm the recommended fixings for their rail system.
