The project:
Wanted to install an electric wall oven and induction hob. Kitchen was looking old and needed a colour upgrade. Since we extended the dining room a couple of years earlier we had room to extend the kitchen and make better use of the window right side wall cabinet. Using Kaboodle cabinetry, a large corner cabinet was replaced with a blind corner cabinet and oven wall unit. Two extra floor cabinets and two extra wall cabinets were added for the final layout. All existing and new cabinets were repainted "Toad" green for the lower and satin white for the upper cabinets. A new workbench completed the cabinets. A reasonable match for the laminate flooring was sourced from Bunnings. A bit of tiling and under cabinet lights completed the look.

- Step 1:
Kitchen before renovation.
- Step 2:
All doors and panel removed for painting. Note: existing cabinets mounted on a wooden frame, which will be replaced by adjustable feet.
- Step 3:
Paint existing panels and doors.
- Step 4:
Delivery of new cabinets, doors and panels ready for painting
- Step 5:
Re-installed all painted doors, drawer covers and panels. Replace the cabinet mounts with adjustable feet. Repair/replace laminate flooring. Install new cabinet to extend kitchen and workbench.
- Step 6:
Remove existing cornet cabinet, move pan drawers over to where the gas stove was. Repair/replace laminate flooring. Install painted new blind corner pantry and small slide out basket cabinet.
- Step 7:
Install wall oven cabinet, ready for oven/grill installation. Install two new wall cabinets either side of relocated hood exhaust cabinets. Install all new and painted doors and panels. Note; the use of portable cooking elements.
- Step 8:
Wall oven/grill and induction hob installed. Tiling complete into hood exhaust area. Temporary bits of board used to patch up workbench. New workbench measured and ordered.
- Step 9:
Workbench installed. (and under cabinet lighting)
- Step 10:
Finished.
