Back verandah with composite deck

The project:

The back of the house has just been a wall facing the west making the house cold in the winter and hot with the summer afternoons.we decided to create a nice outdoor area to sit and enjoy the backyard

- Materials:

Roof frame timber ,posts and concrete,bearers,eco-deck system jackaroo red,spotted gum,tar and all fixings,fasia,screening track and paint

- Tools:

Makita cordless drill,circular saw ,jigsaw,dropsaw,level,string line,shovel

- Step 1:

Set up stringlines,worked out post positions and dug holes

- Step 2:

Concreted posts in ,fitted facia to posts and installed bearers ready for decking also put two coats of tar on top edges

- Step 3:

Installed the eco decking on the front and ends first then the top

- Step 4:

Created the rafters from treated pine and exterier ply to create the curve,the roof sheets and gutter came from another supplier

- Step 5:

Added some spotted gum screening on each end to finish it off and also a planter box plus some nice steps from offcuts rippa no waste

- Step 6:

Dulux classic cream and manor red too finish off
