Will Mondella 1/4 turn ceramic spindles fit?

Hi Bunnings,

Before I special order these replacement spindles, the spline for the tap handle in the spec sheet (attached) looks different to that which is used by my taps (see photos).  Is there another model of replacement spindle I need, or will these work?  My existing taps have a 6-tooth spline, and the spec sheet shows a much finer spline machining.

Hi @MichaelIngram,

That is correct. Tap handles, including these ones, come with compatible spindles that are simply screwed into the breeches which sit inside your wall and control the flow of water to the spout/showerhead.

With this being said, you should still double check compatibility with your plumber, just to be sure.

Is your first recommendation Mondella Chrome Maestro Wall Top Assembly meant to be a spindle and handle replacement, using the same tap body that is hard-plumbed into the tiled surface?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.

Please note plumbing work must be carried out by a licenced plumber for safety and compliance reasons.

Unfortunately, no they don't suit, as you need the same spline configuration if you wish to use the same handles. It can be difficult to locate replacement spindles in the right configuration as everything needs to match.

Given the cost of the individual spindles and difficulty with matching them up, it is often less expensive and easier to simply replace the entire tap set, with something like the
