The project:
Completely overhauled my shed with brand new Tasmanian Oak Timber benchtops with a clear varnish and new pegboards added some lighting and re organised my tools I relined my shed walls with ply & structa floor to install Everhang tube hooks for my equipment. My 12 year old son & I shared this time together and we loved this project and our trips to Bunnings. The best part was after the hard work was done he got to finally clear the benches himself. Installed a 100mm craftright bench vice

- Step 1:
- Cleaned up all unwanted / old materials or items that have been in the shed for years and never used - De cluttered
- Step 2:
2. Decided what was to be retained and moved all these items outside and prepared a plan of the new layout and how I should arrange the shed and what new materials I needed - Plan

3. Went to Bunnings and bought all of my above mentioned items except for the hooks - Material Acquisition #1
- Step 4:
4. Over the course of 3 weeks my son & I found an hour or two a couple of times a week to start the process of making our frames for our peg boards, cutting and sizing our benches and joining the benchtops and installing them. We fitted the structa floor to the walls and ran the extension leads and installed the plug in lights - Construction
- Step 5:
5. After a good clean up of saw dust and off cuts in our shed we put two thick coats of the Cabot's clear on our timber tops - Paint
- Step 6:
6. After the clear coats dried we started to install out tool hooks on our wall lining and install our peg board hooks on our peg boards and arrange them in a neat fashion. We organised our tubs and containers on our shelves and the shed was really taking shape - Organising and arranging tools & equipment
- Step 7:
7. We gave our shed a final clean and once over and are very happy with all final placements of our tools & equipment and have arranged all screws, washers, nuts & bolts etc with our drill bits and containers including our glues and other fluids so we are ready to hit our next home project. We are also keen to chase firewood so have organised a section for our chainsaws and our new benches allow us to sharpen our chains and do other small jobs around the house and back yard with this newly created space - Ready to GO !! Start to use the shed :)
