Farm kitchen renovation using Kaboodle

The project:

Renovation of a 1960's Farm house in the Northern Rivers purchased at auction. Goal was to renovate kitchen with very minimal budget.

After demolishing the existing eye sore we taped up the windowns and gave it a spray paint.

Measured and Ordered Kaboodle Antique white kitchen.

Installed kitchen new taps & sink - tiled above oven and around kitchen.

Installed new barn door & new light fitting

screeded floor and layed vinyl wood tiles

- Materials:

Dulux Lex Qtr white paint

Kaboodle antique white doors + 6 panel glass doors

Normal glass panel door (small doorway) with barn door hardware

Kitchen sink gun metal

Black taps & door handles

Floor leveller before laying vinyl wood tiles

- Tools:

Wagner spray gun

crowbar & hammers for demo

drills & screwdrivers

Patience

- Step 1:

Demolish kitchen

Tape windows and spray paint

- Step 3:

Measure and plan kitchen layout

- Step 4:

Go talk with bunnings staff about the Kaboodle options for kitchen & order.

- Step 5:

Put together all kitchen flat packs

- Step 6:

Install sink & let the professionals bring in the kitchen counter top to glue

- Step 7:

Level floor & lay vinyl tiles

- Step 8:

Paint glass door & install barn sliders

What a huge improvement, especially on a tight budget. The Kaboodle cabinetry, barn door and timber-look flooring work really well together and give the old farmhouse kitchen a much cleaner, brighter and more welcoming feel.

I really like the tiled splashback. The pattern, accentuated by the downlights, give it so much texture and is a real focal point.

Thank you for sharing your project and congratulations on a job well done. I'm sure you are very proud of the results, as you should be.
