Wallpaper dining room wall

The project:

Fish Wall paper applied to a white wall to create a feature in the dining room

- Materials:

Wall Paper

- Tools:

Decal squeegee

Ladder

Spirit Level Ruler

- Step 1:

Step 1: Lay out Wall paper

Step 2: Cut into strips the length of the wall

Step 3: Measure and mark on the wall where the strips line up

Step 4: Place ladder under where the first panel is applied

Step 5: Peel back wallpaper and line up in the top left corner

Step 6: Using squeegee apply the wallpaper to the wall pulling out the wallpaper backing

Step 7: Line up second piece making sure the image aligns and repeat the process

Step 8: Once the wallpaper is applied use the squeegee to push out any bubbles that have formed, use a small pin if required to push out the air and make the wall paper smooth

This is such a bold and unique feature wall. The fish design adds plenty of personality to the dining room and completely transforms what was previously a plain white wall.

You’ve also done a great job lining up the panels, so the pattern flows cleanly across the wall. Thanks for sharing the installation steps and the tip about using a pin to release any trapped air bubbles.
