How to repair torn leather upholstered dining chairs?

Hi @AJ-DIYer,

I'm in agreeance with @R4addZ that major leather upholstery repair is not really within the realm of D.I.Y.

If tears are small and don't justify contacting a professional, then an adhesive like this

could potentially be used, but that is assuming that the leather has just ripped, and nothing has shrunk, moved or been removed.

Beyond this, it would be best to contact a professional leather repairer or an upholsterer. They may be able to repair the leather or reupholster them for you.

Just a note here. This is not something I would recommend you DIY as it is a specialized job.

Ok so there are specialist leather repairers out there and not knowing where you are means I can't suggest a local company. I had a car with leather upholstrey that I was selling which had damage and I called in one of these and when they had finished, you couldn't tell it had ever been damaged!
