Kitchen makeover with Kaboodle benchtops

The project:

Kitchen update and freshen up. Replaced benchtops and splash back as well as repurposed and painted existing doors and cabinetry.

- Materials:

• Kaboodle 2400 x 600 x 38mm Vanilla Cream Benchtop
• Kaboodle 2400 x 900 x 38mm Vanilla Cream Benchtop
• Duratile 10 x 30cm 1.02mWhite Gloss Subway Wall Tile - 34 Carton
• Lane 115mm Black Hampton Handle - 4 pack - Matte Black
• Dulux 15L Antique White U.S.A Low Sheen Ready To Go Colour Wash&Wear Interior Paint

- Tools:

• Sledgehammer
• Screwdrivers
• Tile Cutter
• Angle Grinder
• Impact Driver
• Multi Tool
• Sander
• Paint Brushes/Rollers

- Step 1:

Remove old benchtop, tile splash back and doors and cabinetry.

- Step 2:

Replace and set gyprock. Sand and seal gyprock.

- Step 3:

Reinstall cabinetry carcasses

- Step 4:

Install benchtops and tile splash backs (Grout)

- Step 5:

Sanding cabinet doors

- Step 6:

Repaint cabinet doors

- Step 7:

Install doors and handles

- Step 8:

Repaint surrounding kitchen walls

- Step 9:

Clean up and tools down

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.

What a great way to give the kitchen a fresh new look without replacing everything. Reusing and repainting the existing cabinetry was a smart choice, and the new benchtops, white subway tiles and black handles work really well together.

The finished kitchen looks clean, bright and much more modern.
