How to fix end rot of timber support for shed?

I have an old large bay shed, without further investigation yet it looks like the ends of the supports are rotten. The distance is 3.6m long the timber is 150mm heigh by about 75mm.

Is it possible to bolt a sleeper to the good timber without having to span the whole 3.6m?

Unfortunately, as these timbers are rafters supporting the shed roof, this is a structural issue that really needs to be assessed by a suitably qualified professional, such as a structural engineer or licenced builder.

There may be a way to reinforce or sister the damaged section so the full 3.6m rafter does not need to be replaced, but whether that is suitable or not will depend on how far the rot extends, where the damage is located and how the rafter is supported and loaded. It would also need to be determined in person by a suitably qualified person.

For this reason, I'd suggest you contact a structural engineer or licenced builder for their assistance.
