The project:
This walk‑in pantry renovation replaced a small, impractical brick corner pantry with a brighter, more functional space with lots of storage. After demolishing the original structure, new timber‑framed walls were built, insulated and finished with gyprock. Kaboodle base units and open steel shelving was fitted to create organised, accessible storage. An Elite solar light now brightens the pantry throughout the day. A pocket door was fitted between the kitchen to continue the elegant appearance and close off the pantry when required. The project delivered a modern, efficient space that suits daily use far better than the original layout.

- Step 1:
Demolition of existing pantry

Finalise planning - set out including Fridge recess

Installation of new framed walls and pocket door frame
Hume pocket door - 720mm wide was the perfect fit to enable easy access and not impose of the size of the fridge recess

Insulation fitted to timber framed walls
- Step 5:
Gyprock new walls and fitting of skirtings
Skirting were fitted using Liquid Nails and then fitted with nail gun into timber frame of walls.
- Step 6:
Install flooring
Cement board was used to level the floor and enable the new composite floor to finish at the same height as the previous ceramic tiles.
Composite flooring in black 600 x 600 interlocking tiles was used for the floor finish.
- Step 7:
Fitting of base cabinets and wall shelving
Kaboodle base cabinets and Kaboodle open steel shelving was used for the fitout
- Step 8:
Tiling of the splashback and cabinet drawer fitout
- Step 9:
Fitting of cornicing, painting of side wall, pantry entry wall and internal wall (Pocket door).
- Step 10:
Electrical connection of new light and light switches performed by Licenced Electrician.
