Dark and moody bedroom paint makeover

The project:

We needed to bring our unrenovated house out of the 70s. That meant painting the yellow walls and ripping up carpets. This room doesn't get much natural light so we thought we'd create a dark and moody environment and play on this fact. We ripped up carpets, had the floors polished, installed wardrobes and painted everything out, including the ceiling.

- Materials:

Dulux paint (Snuggle Pie)

Drop sheets

Fine grit sand paper

Ceiling fans

- Step 1:

Carpet was ripped out and polished professionally

- Step 2:

Skirting boards, walls and ceilings were painted out in the same colour

- Step 3:

Ceiling fans installed, wardrobes installed and decor pieces brought in
