The project:

Our new home had a rather pointless front entry space with garish colours of bright yellow and dark blue ceiling. We transformed it into a functional bay window seat that can be lifted for ample storage. It can now be used as a relaxing spot to enjoy the birds out the window, remove and store shoes upon entry to the home or with a breakfast table in front of it (the table not pictured was another project we created).

MDF from Bunnings

Wooden trims from Bunnings

35 x 70 treated pine

Hinges

Dulux was n wear paint

Selleys liquid nails

Mojo brand cushions from bunnings outdoor furnishings

- Tools:

Ozito nail gun

Ozito mitre saw

Ozito drill

Mitre box

- Step 1:

Measure and frame out box

Cut and assemble box

Measure, cut and assemble MDF sheets

Add seat lid hinges

Measure and cut decorative trim

Prime and paint entire seat/lid

Add cushions as final touch
