The project:
After cutting the pipe to length, I painted it with an underwater theme featuring jellyfish, seaweed and fish before sealing it with a clear protective coat. It mounts neatly to a wall or post, making it a practical addition to an outdoor entertaining area while adding a bit of personality. It was a simple weekend project using affordable materials and was a great way to get creative.
- Materials:
PVC pipe
PVC pipe lid
PVC BRACKET
screws
- Tools:
- 100mm PVC pipe
- Spray paint for base colour
- PVC end cap
- PVC primer (optional)
- Exterior spray paint
- Acrylic paints
- Paint brushes
- Clear outdoor spray sealer
- Step 1:
cut pvc pipe to size with hack saw
Cut arch in bottom with jigsaw
Spray paint for the base colour allow to dry
add on details with acrylic paint
Finish with a gloss clear coat
spray paint the PVC bracket the same colour as base
Spray paint the pvc lid same colour as base
mount on wall with PVC bracket
add pvc lid to bottom
- Add stubby holders to top of pipe
