My partner and I upgraded the front door entrance which was previously a painted concrete slab and a yellow front door. We applied all Bunnings products to create a mediterranean style crazy paved tile look, adding planter boxes along the side and painting the front door. This project took roughly two weeks for the whole lot. Can you tell we recently got back from europe? Thank you for considering us! STEP 2: Use the angle grinder with a safety goggles and mask to roughen the surface of the step to allow to products to adhere and last
STEP 3: Wash the step again and allow to dry (24h) AND apply the primer (allow primer 30min to dry)
STEP 4: Mix the glue. Start laying the edge tiles around the perimeter.
STEP 5: Lay full sheets of the tiles and use the filler pieces to fill the gaps until the whole step is covered. Allow the tiles to set for ideally at least 24 hours before grouting (if the tiles aren’t set, they will slide when applying grout, we learnt this the hard way)
STEP 6. Apply the grout once step 5 is fully dry.
STEP 7: Allow the grout to fully dry (can be several days) until applying the sealer per instructions. We used an empty windex bottle, poured the sealer in then sprayed it (some people use a paint roller)
STEP 8: FRONT DOOR (CLEAN > SAND > CLEAN > PAINT TAPE > PRIMER > TOP COAT X2)
STEP 9: MIX SOIL AND PERLITE IN THE PLANTER BOXES
