The project:

we went from a stitch bedroom to a teenage bedroom

beauty desk

Cube shelf

Wall big to patch holes in the wall

- Tools:

drill/screwdriver

Picture hooks

- Step 1:

took everything out of the room

Patched holes and sanded and painted

Built the make up desk and cube shelf

Hung curtains

Styled it

everything was brought from Bunnings market place

Hi @bel92,

You've done a great job transforming the room into a space that's much better suited to a teenager. Sometimes it's the simple updates like patching and painting the walls, adding new furniture and styling the room that make the biggest difference, and the before and after photos really highlight the change.

If you get a chance, it'd be great to hear a little more about the makeover, such as how you chose the new colour scheme and any tips you picked up along the way. I'm sure other members looking to update a bedroom on a budget would appreciate your experience.

we choose the blue ocean theme because we just lost our mum and her favourite colour is blue and she loved the ocean and being with dolphins so we done all the colour and theme based off an inspiration of my mum who passed
