Living room makeover using acoustic panels

The project:

In a large open plan living area I was keen to define spaces for the separate uses. The TV lounge had a beautiful custom fitted cabinet already fitted. The television is of a gigantic size dominating the room. By using black acoustic panels behind the TV, it not only enhance the entertainment cabinet with its contact but also softened the room as the TV disappeared into the backdrop.

- Materials:

Black acoustic panels. Scres and glue

- Tools:

Power saw, cordless drill and bits, spirit level, tape measure and pencil

- Step 1:

Measure and cut

- Step 2:

Glue to wall whilst checking level

- Step 3:

Screws within black fabric area

This has got to be the best magical makeover you've done. I totally agree that the TV has disappeared as the acoustic panel has made the TV totally blend in. Luck is truly on your side as this is a difficult feat to achieve with paint. It's an amazing addition to your entertainment section.
