How to remove wardrobe shelves?

Hi everyone, I'm planning to update my walk-in wardrobes, we moved into this home couple of years ago, the walk-in wardrobe just has a single shelf along 3 wallsides and rails below that. I want to remove these shelves and DIY a wardrobe with shelves and rails, I'm unable to locate the screws. I can see the caps closing the holes screws drilled in but I cannot see any screw heads. I could knock it down using hammer, but I don't want to cause any damage to the walls.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @vivek36. It's amazing to have you join us and many thanks for your question on removing shelves.

The screws are most likely hidden beneath those plastic caps. If they've been driven in quite deeply, the screw heads can sit below the surface of the timber and be difficult to see.

I'd start by removing a few more of the caps to see if any of the screw heads are more visible. If not, try inserting a Phillips-head screwdriver into the hole and gently rotating it until it engages with the screw head. Once you find one, the rest should come out the same way.
