The project:
After adding a built in wardrobe I picked up off Buy Nothing, which we the EXACT dimensions of the space I had, I decided my sons room needed a facelift and a splash of colour.
I let him choose the inspiration and theme - and kept it simple to get done quickly.

- Step 1:
Allow your child to pick a theme or inspiration print for the room as a source of reference for your paint project. Mine chose the below whale and sea prints which sit opposite the feature wall in his room.
- Step 2:
I picked a colour from the image, and transferred the wave shape onto the opposite wall. Once I’d decided how big I wanted the waves, I cut the shape out of cardboard and traced them on to the wall using pencil. A level is also helpful to keep the pattern straight.
- Step 3:
Using the precision rounded tip brush I traced the outside of the wave shape and cut in around skirting boards. Using the roller to fill in the larger areas, and repeated with a second coat.
- Step 4:
Finished off the room with a personalised name plaque and sea-themed wall stickers.
