Hi everyone! I got a new cooktop installed today and there's a mark on the benchtop from the previous cooktop, seems like it's just worn away over time and discoloured it. Anything I can do to cover it up or make it less noticable?

Could you tell us what your benchtop is made from? Is it laminate, engineered stone, natural stone or another material?
It looks like the surface may have been worn away and stained over time. If that's the case, and it's a laminate benchtop, unfortunately there's usually no practical way to restore the original appearance as the decorative surface layer has likely worn through.
Depending on the extent of the damage, you could speak with a benchtop restoration specialist who works with laminate surfaces to see whether they have a suitable repair option. Otherwise, the main alternatives would be to paint the entire benchtop with a benchtop refinishing system or replace the benchtop if you're after a like-new finish.
