How to clean footprints on solid Jarrah timber floorboards?

Hi All - These appear like footmarks / dirty marks. Have been through 2 Bunnings staff inspired options to clean the marks off (Bona Wood Floor Cleaner and O'Cedar Clean & Shine). Neither worked. Also another piece of advice (white rubber / eraser) - also no go. The marks are all over the house - any ideas what might shift them (presume they are off soles of shoes ?) - but guessing as only just bought the house and they were there already.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your jarrah flooring.

It appears that the sealers surface has been damaged to a point that it has possibly reached the timber surface. Have you tried ordinary soap and water? Perhaps a surface wash with detergent might wash away the marks. My only other suggestion is to try using a polisher such as the https://www.bunnings.com.au/long-life-1l-self-shining-floor-polish_p4460498 . If it does work, please keep in mind that this is a temporary solution as the polish will eventually wear off.

If the foot marks are all over the house and can't be cleaned off with regular cleaning methods, it might be time to consider sanding down the floor and applying a new sealer on top.
