The project:
Our laundry is a massive space, ideal for a full-size clothesline for Tassie winters, but it was made entirely of chipboard, very trendy in the 80s, which was water stained and swollen.

- Step 1:
Demolition! It started with removing the old lino floor, getting ready to replace with tiles as we tiled the rest of the house. It quickly turned into ripping out all the old shelving and sink cupboard, all of which was chipboard.
- Step 2:
We really wanted to try Kaboodle, firstly as it was a cost effective option for us, but also as a trial to a larger kitchen project. We ordered our Kaboodle set up at the Service Desk in our local Bunnings - they were extremely helpful and made the entire process very easy and straight forward. It was straightforward to put together as well, with all the parts for each unit in one box.

- Step 3:
We then rebuilt the wall that was previously shelves and turned it into full length cupboards; massive amounts of storage. We used 16mm MDF from Bunnings to make shelf heights easier than having to line up with wall studs, we also installed Hume 2340 high special order doors along that wall to fully enclose the storage area.
- Step 4:
The final product is Kaboodle Olive Grove in an Alpine profile. The benchtop is Hickory Maple. We used Ezyfix tapware so we could keep the existing plumbing for the sink and washing machine. We colour matched the paint for the full length doors on the cupboard. Very happy with the final outcome. Looking forward to giving the kitchen a crack now!
