Timber hanging TV shelf

The project:

didn’t like the build tv unit and wanted something more sleek and themed timber

- Materials:

Left over bench panel, fence pailing, Scandia log basket, chain, shelf brackets, rustic dulux spray paint, stain, outdoor pillows…all bunnings

- Tools:

Ryobi circular saw, Ryobi sander, Ryobi drill,

- Step 1:

measure up all materials and area

- Step 2:

cut down timber to size

- Step 3:

Sanded stained and painted with drill to add features

- Step 4:

mounted shelf

- Step 5:

built a cover for electric cables from fence pailing

- Step 6:

spray painted shelf brackets and chains with dulux rustic spray paint

- Step 7:

drilled hole in back of scandia log basket and put internet box inside

- Step 8:

used mojo outdoor cushions to decorate basket and Bunnings rug everything used was from Bunnings

Thank you for sharing your TV shelf project. At first glance I thought it was just the chains holding it in place. But on your sixth photo, I see that you used a bracket to hold it in place and the chain is just an added feature. It's a very clever design add on and totally fits in with your timber theme.
