The project:
My budget was tight, Bunnings, Kaboodle and my son installing was the answer. Thanks to the many team members at Bunnings North Penrith NSW for all their expertise/customer service choosing the right items for the look that I dreamed of and that was achieved. Their guidance meant I came in well under budget, and I have finally got my dream kitchen which has been extremely rewarding for me from demolition to the finished project. Shout out to the many staff, and especially to Sharen the Kaboodle consultant who was so patient and professional with modifications to the original design.

- Step 1:
After consultation/design with the Bunnings Kaboodle consultant and delivery of the flat pack, demolition of the old kitchen left a shell to work with. Installation of the new walls (with electrics/plumbing) and ceiling were painted ready for the next step.
- Step 2:
Assembling the flat pack cabinets with easy-to-follow instructions ensured that this step of installation went smoothly.
- Step 3:
The bench top was the next to be installed, using the jigsaw for the stove top and sink cut out, then fit off of the appliances, electrics and sink completed the benchtops. The dining area had wall cabinets fitted as a narrow buffet with the same bench top to give an extended look inclusive to the small kitchen.
- Step 4:
Installing the new windows was a task, the dining area originally had a floor to ceiling windows which meant modifying the wall to fit the new window.
- Step 5:
The Hybrid laminated flooring was the next job to tackle before the kickboards added the finishing look.
- Step 6:
The splash back tiles were laid subway style and extended up the side of the wall cabinets to give a unique look. Kitchen complete!
